One day, 2nd-year middle school student Ruka Hayasaka discovers a mysterious object near the seashore. Upon placing the odd item in a small wayside shrine and offering a prayer, the Fortune God, who has the ability to attract people and improve finances, appears. Thanks to its power, the Hayasaka General Store begins to prosper, but Ruka's grandmother begins to act strangely.
