In this harrowing episode, Kael is intercepted and brutally defeated by The Auditor in the Neon Slums. Dragged to a sterile OmniCorp black site, he falls into the clutches of Mr. Vance. Kael is subjected to horrific physical and psychological torture, including the installation of a slave-spine implant and the erasure of his memories. Labeled as broken hardware, he is branded and discarded into the Scrapyard, waking up broken, changed, and driven by a new, dark purpose.
