Mankind went out into the stars and conquered a significant portion of the known galaxy establishing a vast empire. Ruled by an imperial dynasty supported by many noble houses mankind flourished for aeons till encountering the Kreen Hegemony. After centuries of war and bloodshed a truce was agreed upon and an uneasy peace resulted. Centuries later humanity turned back on itself engaged in political struggles for dominance and power.
