A year has gone by since Faust lost her soul, and ascended to the position of Inspector of Rosae Seorsum. Although she is drawing nearer to her goal of getting close to the king, in hopes of ultimately forcing him to treat his subjects better, she is also closer to further loss. The people of Charity have begun to lose hope of ever seeing her again. However, Marguerite is just beginning to show Faust that she is more than just a cheerful farm girl.
