Eirgsmoth, whose port once thrived with diverse trade enriching noble houses befell a disaster as her waters receded mysteriously and the earth shook. Now surrounded in a quagmire the township rots from marsh beyond the walls as well as the corruption of a desperate once prosperous people. In despair, the denizens look to deities for solace or relief from noble houses , yet find madness in forgotten gods' cults and strife among the entitled have taken to fighting over the scraps of a decaying corpse. The corrupt are rewarded and the vicious make headway. Only the underworld flourishes. Eirgsmoth feeds upon her own children.
