The world of Empyrean is a series of floating islands that hover over the ruins of the old world, now uninhabitable because of the poisonous clouds that consumed it. A dark force plans to one day return and fulfill its mission of vengeance against the gods, but a prophesized warrior will rise and slay the dark lord.
