In this special one-shot adventure, Cygnus the Volgamite and Aves the Griffin take center stage on a daring mission for Merlin! Following the events of Baron Templar #2, the team are sent to the great goblin city of Kaizarion deep within the Frostbyte mountains in order to get Merlin’s sword Spellbound reforged. Upon arriving, they are greeted by the charismatic and eccentric king of the goblins, Skraggs, who wastes little time degrading Cygnus and boasting of the newfound fortune him and his people have made from their new “supercharged” diamonds. Aves sees potential business opportunities, while Cygnus is weary of the newly found gems. Eventually things take a chaotic turn when Skraggs takes them to the heart of the mine and Cygnus’s worries are justified. These diamonds are not what they seem and are about to awaken an ancient being that will threaten all Kaizarion! Can the dysfunctional duo save the day?
