Rather than just referencing the works of this era, Cloudscratcher is meant to feel like a comic adaptation of a show that could have existed back then. One you could've watched as a kid sitting on the carpet with a bowl of cereal in your lap on Saturday morning, or waiting for you when you got home after school.
