After walking away from the Gate, Idrees believes his moment has passed. But the ordinary world no longer feels ordinary. Clocks hesitate. Reflections reveal impossible places. A sealed Scroll begins to stir, and the ChronoSigil pulses across forgotten Realms. As strange echoes follow him through the city, Idrees begins to understand that leaving the Gate did not end his connection to it.
