This was more an experiment for working on some techniques, like pacing, hand poses, etc. This also served to just get me back into making comics, as I took a long break from doing so. Despite this story being short, it took me three years to complete X_X It was a rough process.

OH MY GOD THIS COMIC IS PURE CHAOS I LOVE IT it starts with this random TIE like where did it even come from and suddenly everyone’s losing their minds over it like it’s some kind of cursed object they HAVE to wear I swear the energy just keeps going up and up like “LET’S GET THIS TIE ON QUICKLY” bro why is this tie a matter of life and death 😭 then there’s CHRIS just straight up collapsing in his dress clothes like a tiny rebel hero saying “I don’t want a tie” and honestly I felt that on a spiritual level and then the dad’s out here trying to reason with him like “we all have to wear one” like sir this is not a negotiation it’s war the tension in this room could kill a man and then when they’re like “but mom doesn’t have to” and he goes “she can take mine” I was like NO WAY this boy is ready to DIE for his cause then chaos part two hits with the dad panicking like “CHRIS TAKE IT EASY” and another kid running in saying “mom said be ready in a minute” like this family’s about to implode over neckwear and I’m just watching like popcorn in hand the dad yelling “LIVES ARE AT STAKE HERE” had me on the floor because sir it’s literally just a tie and the kid’s like “but that’s mine” and I can just SEE the absolute meltdown happening off-screen it’s so real so stupid and so funny it feels like a scene out of a sitcom mixed with a hostage situation overall 10/10 perfect family disaster energy everyone’s dramatic everyone’s yelling about a piece of fabric peak comedy peak relatability I love it Your comic deserved an awesome illustration ngl xd
