A father and son with a wounded past, and a future that never comes.

The way this story unfolds feels so natural like it has always existed somewhere waiting to be drawn How do you decide when a story is ready to be told?

@RUBYVANCE101: I wrote this about a really strong feeling I had, and that guided the story from the start. Originally it was a smaller thing about a father and son making soup, and it was messier and more emotional. My partner Gix, helped me change the plot and structure and focus on some of the core ideas and feelings. We shaped it into something that felt good. And when it felt good we thought it was ready.

That’s beautiful you can really feel that it began as something raw and intimate, and that emotional core is still very much alive even after refining the structure. It’s cool how the collaboration didn’t dilute the feeling but actually helped crystallize it into something clearer and intentional. It genuinely reads like a story that knows what it wants to say. Excited to see where you take it next.

Btw are you draw this comic by yourself or commission someone for it? And I have an thought in my mind. Can I get the chance to draw comic for you within my good price
