Buried - Issue #1

In the quiet town of Blackthorne, Pennsylvania, a brutal murder shatters the illusion of safety when high school student Olivia Whitaker becomes the first victim of a masked killer known only as Ghostface. As fear spreads through the rain-soaked streets, survivor Riley Mercer and her friends are pulled into a nightmare of paranoia, secrets, and buried guilt tied to Blackthorne’s past. While police struggle to contain the escalating violence, strange phone calls, disturbing clues, and whispered rumors reveal that the killings may not be random. Every victim seems connected to a hidden tragedy the town has spent years trying to forget. As tensions rise and suspicion turns friend against friend, Riley finds herself trapped in a deadly game where nobody can be trusted — not the grieving townspeople, not the media, and not even those closest to her. Blending classic 90s slasher suspense with a grounded psychological mystery, Buried introduces the dark world of Blackthorne and the terrifying truth behind the phrase: “Blackthorne buries everything.”
