In the shadows several humans have started to develop superpowers. There are groups of "enhanced" people trying to gather other individuals like them for their own causes. In the woods of a remote part of the Midwest woods people have gone missing, with stories a large "monster" being seen. An enhanced is on the search for this "monster".
