In Black Shadow and the Protectors, Trevor Stirling aka the Black Shadow joins Bat Ray and Water Woman to form a new superhero team called the Protectors. Unlike the other team members, Trevor has no superpowers. Using his inventions and creativity, Trevor learns what it really means to be a hero.
