81. ◆Details for Drawing in 3D

80. ◆Two-Point Perspective
Agentny003
@tamakimikesaka: oh I meant when I saw the panels with the two vanishing points: it looked like a mirror effect when they were aligned oppositely.
tamakimikesaka
@Agentny003
Ah, that makes sense now!

79. ◆One-Point Perspective
Agentny003
One step at a time kiddos. well done on the building; very impressive.
tamakimikesaka
@Agentny003
Thanks!

78. ◆How to Hold a Pencil
Agentny003
Interesting way to learn about solid shapes.
tamakimikesaka
@Agentny003
This is where it all begins.

77. ◆How to Draw the Outline of a Cube
tamakimikesaka
@Agentny003
With that method, we could draw a three-dimensional cube. I think what you are referring to is a four-dimensional cube.
A three-dimensional cube has a distinction between the outside and inside, so a vanishing point is necessary. However, a four-dimensional cube is a highly flexible cube that allows the outside and inside to be freely interchanged.
Therefore, we do not believe a vanishing point is necessary.
Agentny003
@tamakimikesaka: I see.
Agentny003
A good way to practice drawing inferstructure.
tamakimikesaka
@Agentny003
Yeah. I'm going to teach kids that method thoroughly from now on.
This series will run until September 26.

75. Brother & Sister Kiss(2/2)
Agentny003
So funny. Just like her father.
tamakimikesaka
@Agentny003
He’s basically a good guy, but sometimes he ends up bothering someone. lol

75. Brother & Sister Kiss(1/2)
Agentny003
Aww that’s cute.
tamakimikesaka
@Agentny003
Yeah, they were super cute, and
that place was the only zoo in Japan where we could actually pet wild boars.

74. Close Sibling Bond
Agentny003
Those twins are very humble. They’re more of the cooperative types. That’s why they’re the quiet ones. It’s funny how you misunderstand when the brother was carrying his injured sister.
tamakimikesaka
@Agentny003
I didn’t see her fall.
Her scraped foot was hidden behind the desk.
Then, when they were leaving the classroom, he suddenly gave her a piggyback ride.
I was so surprised, I asked them about it, and they told me all the details about her fall.
The first half of this episode is drawn based on what they said.

73. Come Play with Me(3/3)
Agentny003
If it’s not one thing it’s another.
tamakimikesaka
@Agentny003
My life’s totally chaotic—thanks to my friends, family, and students. lol
Your comments always cheer me up.
Thanks so much, as always!

73. Come Play with Me(2/3)

73. Come Play with Me(1/3)
Agentny003
Very important to balance work and life outside of work.
tamakimikesaka
@Agentny003
I’m really bad at keeping that balance.
My family and friends worry about me.
I know I should fix it… but it’s just not that easy.
Agentny003
Wow. Quite a story. It makes sense cause after the inject you to knock you out, you won’t remember a thing accept be in a recovery room.
tamakimikesaka
@Agentny003
Exactly! I wish they’d invent a type of anesthesia that only works on the wound until it’s fully healed!
Agentny003
Resting is good for the creative mind. Sometimes dreams sends us messages or maybe even premonitions.
tamakimikesaka
@Agentny003
That dream really freaked me out.
So I ended up going to swimming school.
Thanks to that, I’ve never actually drowned in real life!

70. ◆Colors Are Made of Light
tamakimikesaka
@Agentny003
Yeah, exactly. Even if we're painting the same subject, it really matters what kind of light is hitting it.
I just really love bright colors, so I don’t usually draw nighttime scenes.
By the way, I think the ocean in your comics looks beautiful.✨
Agentny003
@tamakimikesaka: Thanks. I just played around with the types of blue.
Agentny003
Pretty much to what I said on the previous chapter. Except the part of black.
tamakimikesaka
@Agentny003
Yeah, I was shocked when I read your last comment.
It's like you can read my mind!
Agentny003
@tamakimikesaka: Not necessarily. it’s something I had to look up but it was similar when I read your previous page.
tamakimikesaka
@Agentny003
I actually talked about something similar back in Epi.64 – How to Paint the Sky.
Hinata asked me to go deeper into the relationship between color and light after that, so I gave her a passionate explanation.
That’s what the next episode’s all about.
And knowing you… you might be able to guess the whole script without even reading it!

67. Discomfort in the Darkness
Agentny003
So your character is afraid of spiders huh? I see now.
tamakimikesaka
@Agentny003
She actually likes how spiders look,
but it’s the way they move that creeps her out.
The idea of eight legs moving all at once?
Yeah, she’s like “nope.” lol

66. Tangle in Darkness(3/3)
Agentny003
Good friend can be silly but always have each other’s backs.
tamakimikesaka
@Agentny003
He's got my tail, and also I've got his back - spikes and all. lol )^o^(

66. Tangle in Darkness(2/3)
Agentny003
Talk about getting scammed. 😂
tamakimikesaka
@Agentny003
This was a door-to-door scam that was all over Japan about ten years ago.
I was fed up with it back then.

66. Tangle in Darkness(1/3)
Agentny003
I’m the type of person who’s a terrible liar. Sometimes there are situations in which you have to say a “white lie”. If you can’t, the best way to tell the truth is by opening up and sit with the person without having to make them uncomfortable and upset.
tamakimikesaka
@Agentny003

65. ◆How to Paint the Meadow(Watercolor)
Agentny003
Lighting and shading are the two most important key elements in colorin; without them there are no details. As for the boundary lines, you’re right.
tamakimikesaka
@Agentny003
I usually start by teaching details first, then follow up with lighting and shading together.
The method you mentioned—teaching lighting and shading first, then adding details—sounds like the grisaille technique. That approach might actually be easier for my students to grasp. I’ll give it a try in the next lesson.

64. ◆How to Paint the Sky(Watercolor)(3/3)
Agentny003
If doing a sky is awesome, I can’t wait until you teach them how to paint buildings.
tamakimikesaka
@Agentny003
Around last month, I taught one of my younger students how to draw Mont Saint-Michel.
I haven’t drawn that episode yet—maybe sometime next year!(;ω;)

64. ◆How to Paint the Sky(Watercolor)(2/3)
Agentny003
Way to add quantum physics to art. I never even thought about that. 😮
tamakimikesaka
@Agentny003
I always try to give my students the most accurate info I can.
Explaining this wears me out—so I always treat myself to ice cream after class. lol
Agentny003 4 hours ago
She’s right, kiddos.
