@tamakimikesaka: oh I meant when I saw the panels with the two vanishing points: it looked like a mirror effect when they were aligned oppositely.

@Agentny003

With that method, we could draw a three-dimensional cube. I think what you are referring to is a four-dimensional cube.

A three-dimensional cube has a distinction between the outside and inside, so a vanishing point is necessary. However, a four-dimensional cube is a highly flexible cube that allows the outside and inside to be freely interchanged.
Therefore, we do not believe a vanishing point is necessary.

A good way to practice drawing inferstructure.

Yeah. I'm going to teach kids that method thoroughly from now on.
This series will run until September 26.

Those twins are very humble. They’re more of the cooperative types. That’s why they’re the quiet ones. It’s funny how you misunderstand when the brother was carrying his injured sister.

I didn’t see her fall.
Her scraped foot was hidden behind the desk.
Then, when they were leaving the classroom, he suddenly gave her a piggyback ride.
I was so surprised, I asked them about it, and they told me all the details about her fall.

The first half of this episode is drawn based on what they said.

Resting is good for the creative mind. Sometimes dreams sends us messages or maybe even premonitions.

tamakimikesaka

@Agentny003

Yeah, exactly. Even if we're painting the same subject, it really matters what kind of light is hitting it.
I just really love bright colors, so I don’t usually draw nighttime scenes.

By the way, I think the ocean in your comics looks beautiful.✨

tamakimikesaka

@Agentny003

I actually talked about something similar back in Epi.64 – How to Paint the Sky.
Hinata asked me to go deeper into the relationship between color and light after that, so I gave her a passionate explanation.
That’s what the next episode’s all about.

And knowing you… you might be able to guess the whole script without even reading it!

tamakimikesaka

I’m the type of person who’s a terrible liar. Sometimes there are situations in which you have to say a “white lie”. If you can’t, the best way to tell the truth is by opening up and sit with the person without having to make them uncomfortable and upset.

Lighting and shading are the two most important key elements in colorin; without them there are no details. As for the boundary lines, you’re right.

tamakimikesaka

tamakimikesaka 3 months ago

@Agentny003

I usually start by teaching details first, then follow up with lighting and shading together.

The method you mentioned—teaching lighting and shading first, then adding details—sounds like the grisaille technique. That approach might actually be easier for my students to grasp. I’ll give it a try in the next lesson.
