Millennial Heroes: Tales... Of The City! Leapin' Luchas Part 1: Push It To The Lucha!
A "Sexy Slice-Of-(an insane) Life" webcomic in which two stoner buddies try and get by (and try and stay high!) while also staying super toasty and going on sick weed-and-sex filled, 80's/90's themed adventures (both mundane and magical) with their friends!
This is a sick, retro ADULT "joint"! It's set in the modern day (hence, "millennial"), but the vibe is all sunglasses at night... a distinctly pulpy, "two-fisted" comicbook visual aesthetic done in a loving homage to our favorite comicbook creator Mark Schultz (Cadillacs and Dinosaurs) as well as Comedy Central's masterpiece "Ugly Americans" and Cartoon Network's legendary "Aqua Teen Hunger Force" & "The Venture Bros."... melded thematically to the more adult vibes of both the underground comix scene from the 60's and 70's as well as the indie comics scene of the 80's and 90's that came out of it. We also count folks like Harry Crumb (Fritz the Cat, Mr. Natural), Ralph Bakshi (Heavy Metal, Wizards, basically he's the adult illustration GOAT), and Gilbert Shelton (Fabulous Freak Bros, another Goddamn legend) in there obviously... other inspirations include weed comedies like Cheech & Chong, and Harold & Kumar... along with Leisure Suit Larry, Sam And Max, Southpark, It's Always Sunny, Johnny Bravo, Rick & Morty, and KUNG FUCKIN'[sic] FURY... as well as less obvious stuff like The Goldbergs and Parker Lewis Can't Lose.
In part 1 of the this new web comic adventure, the boys find out their awful dick-of-a-boss Vlad is going to close down Monica's dad's after-school breakdancing program!
