Chapter 3 Funeral" Taimen gets a ride from Braunschweig at his father's request. The funeral of the count is today. Duke takes the H drug. The members of the council discuss the recent loss of Count. Colegate is startled by a late and tired duke before they head out. Cut to the precinct. Reda almost shoots Adam because she was startled. He tells her the captain needs to speak with her. Chef Bank asks Reda about her nervous nature; she requests not to answer because of the touchy nature of the subject. He orders her to get Detective West. She thanks her but tries to show her other secret with her eyes. He doesn’t pick up on the hint. West receives the order to attend the funeral of Count as a last-ditch effort to get some information. Colegate and Duke arrive at the funeral and his family. The Duke sees his casket and has a breakdown. Regan tries to help Duke but slips and is offered a hand by Mr. West. They talk about what happened to Duke. West's instinct is self-belief, so he gives an answer to justify it . Colegate makes a comment that gets West to open up about his past because of their shared bad history with the women in their lives. He reveals his wife left him one day out of the blue . The last thing she said was that I was sick. might have a child due to his recent encounter with someone sharing his nose slit birthmark. Reagan convinced him to let the child go because that was best for him . Colegate asks how he is able to keep a calm demeanor, considering what he's going through.

Chapter 2: The first day

Chapter 2: The First Day." Regan has a short encounter with his son Tai and friends.  Taimen asks him why he was late . He can't respond yet but will later and walks on stage to tell Duke Dollohiem to gather the council. The detectives arrive on the scene. They take pictures and look at the bodies. One was a 16-year-old boy, possibly unrelated to the murders. They leave the scene mostly untouched except for an incident involving glasses. Their final job for the day is to send word to family members of the deceased . First stop, Saint Judas Church of the Liberated. The council gathers for a meeting to discuss the recent events. Colegate explains that Count Dukes' brother is not responding. They're connected to the powder used to mix the drug. Chavez Martine was apprehended by the police. Regan disbands the groups after telling them to talk about nothing and do nothing. Group members are named Annabelle Mazaleon, Morgan Gocetti, Rankshaw Lament, Meuken Wo, Duke Dollohiem, Castiel Dragonet, and Roman.

Chapter 1: The last night of the year

Chapter 1: Last Night of the Year" It's the last night of the year 2005. Taimen Colegate sits with his best friend, Braunschweig Folley. They're attending an event for the year at the Saint Judas Church of the Liberated. They discuss the whereabouts of his father, Reagen Colegate. Natalia Foreman joins them after leaving her grandmother to complete their trio, the Rats. Mr. Colegate is out at Count Dollohiem's High Rise with "no mask on." He was on a personal hit for unknown reasons at the time. He kills the Count and returns to the church. Captain Jarrell West gets an order to investigate from his friend/boss, Julius Bank. Reda Noelle, a former sex crimes detective on a lunch break, argues with the disfigured Adam Forester. Before being interrupted by the captain and sent out on the case. The chapter ends with Reagan arriving at the church at 12:00pm. Was he late?
