Hello to all of our readers~
We didn't want to have to make this post but unfortunately we will be removing "Across Your Shattered Sky" from GlobalComix. Five months ago, they were caught using AI in the process of making video ads for the platform and using creators' content. Since then we have been in a silent protest by not uploading new episodes and pressing the team for action. It took them until now to say anything.
Among the conversations, they showed the promised TOS changes which banned AI comics, but only ones made 100% with AI, not mostly or partially made. When pressed on this, the response was "Where do we draw the line, it's subjective, we don't want to stifle creativity." followed by their founder openly defending their use of the model Claude to write code as well as Sumo to entertain their children. We find this to be a blatant disrespect towards creators and a lack of understanding the root issue of why we pressed so much for AI protection. Considering their treatment of creators and stance on AI, we cannot remain on this platform anymore. We are still very active on socials, other reading platforms and our community Discord so please do follow to stay in the loop!
We apologize for the inconvenience, especially since many of you came here from Webtoons, which had similar issues. We thank you for taking the time to read and enjoy our work and hope you will continue to do so elsewhere~
