Ciriaco Contreras, alongside Luis Humberto Blest Gana, Eulogio Arrivillaga, and the innkeeper Manuela Murillo—who has now joined the ranks—are already plotting their next heist: to infiltrate the hacienda of a wealthy wheat tycoon. Their target is a hefty donation from the businessmen of the Maule Province to the Conservative Party, set to be delivered during a traditional country festival known as the Fiesta del Chancho Muerto. Meanwhile, El Indio is hot on Ciriaco’s trail, determined to ensure that this time, he stays dead.
