My comic, 3mm Bleed, was originally drawn in 2017. This was the year a whale changed Norwegians' view on plastic. A stranded Cuvier's beaked whale died because of a big ball of plastic waste in its belly. The incident had a great influence on people and politicians. I'm not sure how strong the consciousness is about how menacing plastic is today, but this satirical comic describes this incident in its own quirky way and should be a reminder for us all.

Cramp

When you grow up in the world's largest fjord, or perhaps the second largest actually, you learn to respect ponds, water, sea and ocean. Cramp is a short comic about swimming, and being afraid of swimming alone. My mother always said that I should never swim alone, but how long does that rule apply? Now I'm 42, and my sea-wise in-laws laugh at me and my rules. This comic was nominated to Comic of the Year in Norway and won Gold for it's visual design in the Norwegian industry award Visuelt 2025.
