At 21, Cody is a college dropout with a patchwork past and a barely holding together 1970 Dodge Charger. Working at a Colorado cannabis dispensary, he tries to ignore the episodes—those strange, terrifying moments where reality shatters and he’s not on Earth anymore. Visions of battles in alien deserts, military uniforms that feel too familiar, and shadowy creatures with glowing red eyes haunt him like fragments of someone else's war.
But when an online flirtation with a stunning UFO investigator named Aurora turns into a real-life invitation to the Cosmic Traveler conference in Los Angeles, Cody's carefully managed chaos begins to unravel. At the conference, he meets regression therapists, self-proclaimed super soldiers, and conspiracy theorists who sound a little too much like him. Then, the memories come flooding back—not dreams, but flashbacks of combat, training, and abductions.
What Cody uncovers is more terrifying than insanity: as a child, he was part of Project Moon Shadow, a black-budget military experiment that abducted psychic and intuitive children, trained them for war, erased their memories, and deployed them for twenty-year combat tours across the solar system. The “20 and Back” program wasn’t a myth—it was his life.
And worse still? He’s not done serving.
As he reconnects with a lost love, a missing brother, and a past he was never meant to remember, Cody is pulled back into a cosmic war that spans timelines and dimensions. Haunted by demons both literal and psychological, he must navigate government conspiracies, paranormal horrors, and off-world missions to recover a lost artifact that could prevent the destruction of Earth in an approaching solar cataclysm.
