Welcome to Writer’s Block. Population: too many. They say writer’s block is all in your head. They’re right. Every writer fears it. Every creator knows it. A place where the words won’t come, the plot won’t turn, the ideas won’t land. But what if the block was more than a state of mind? What if it was a world of its own… with its own rules… and its own residents? That’s why I moved in. Furnished the place. Got a nice little world going here—full of half-finished heroes, plot twists that forgot to twist, and endings that refuse to end. Plot holes stroll the streets. Unwritten characters knock on doors. Loose ends? We’ve got a cul-de-sac full of them. And the funny thing about this block? Once a story comes here… it rarely leaves. You wanted inspiration? Too late. You’re in my world now. Welcome… to Writer’s Block.

Strange adventure

The fanzine was created in December 2016 as a digital collection of works by participants of the Valjevo Comics and Animation Workshop and a way to promote their work. In the summer of 2017, issues two and zero were published both in print and digital, alongside issue with a physical edition of issue one, and starting with the third and fourth issues of 2018, the fanzine will continue to be published simultaneously in both versions. As part of the “STRAVA Fest” in 2019, the fifth issue was published, and the sixth in November of the same year, in which the fanzine shared the title with the “Black Blot” fanzine, which had previously ceased publication in 2010. In December 2019 and January 2020, through the “Z!N” newsletter, issues seven and eight were published, and from January 2021, it continues to be published monthly. The fanzine contains original comics by members of the workshop (and beyond), various reports on the engagements of the workshop, as well as news from domestic areas, regarding comics and animation.

The CROSSROADS anthology is the first book by MULTIVERS9 comics, which began in 2021 as a creators team up to publish their own stories. CROSSROADS is a horror, suspense, fantasy and science fiction comics anthology. It's composed by 9 stories by MULTIVERS9 creators team Hernán Molina, Julio Paz, Sebastián Carrera aka «Kaos» and Toan Jones. Also joining us for this ocassion are Marcello Bondi, Angel de Oliveira, Max Miecchi and Davide Locuratolo (invited writers from Italy). These creator's path meet at the CROSSROADS walking through their own vision of horror, suspense, fantasy and science fiction. Subtle, transgressive, hypothetical, visceral visions. Tales From Toxic Pond is a cosmic horror and science fiction anthology series with standalone stories revolving around the mysterious, supernatural Toxic Pond.

Several years ago, Oni Press put out four sample scripts, that artists could use for submissions. I thought this was a great idea (they should really bring it back), since I wasn’t a writer, and the hardest part about submissions was always what to draw. I always meant to do one, but I never got around to it. So I challenged myself to do all four, and this is what happened!
